HEROINTRANET
A unified digital workplace for Hero MotoCorp — consolidating tasks, updates, and communities into a single, seamless employee experience that drives engagement, boosts productivity, and connects the entire organisation under one roof.Impact

Project Objective.
To design a unified digital workplace that empowers employees to manage leave, travel, reimbursements, and requests through a single, flexible platform, while fostering collaboration and communication. The experience keeps the workforce informed, connected, and aligned year-round, while giving managers holistic visibility into their teams.
(HOW MIGHT WE)
Redesign HeroMoto Corp's intranet into a unified digital workspace where employees can easily find information, complete tasks, and stay connected?
Current Challenges.
Through stakeholder interviews and usability audits of the existing platform, six critical pain points emerged that were actively discouraging employees from using the intranet.
Navigation
The structure and design make it challenging to user in finding information easily.
Logical Grouping
Information is not organised in a logical manner which makes it difficult for users to navigate on the platform.
Insufficient Search
The search function does not work efficiently which is challenging to the user in find-ability aspect.
Multiple Entry Points
Multiple links or options for similar tasks, lead to confusion & not able to complete the task efficiently.
Relevancy of Information
due to lack of relevant information, users tend not to rely upon the platform & get info from somewhere else.
Dead Links
Links that no longer work result in 404 error pages which causes frustration and dissatisfaction for users.
New Information Architecture.
The existing IA was restructured around how employees actually think and work, grouping content by role, task, and frequency of use. The new architecture reduces cognitive load by consolidating entry points and surfacing the most relevant tools and information at every level of the hierarchy.
Solutions.
The redesign addressed each identified pain point through a set of targeted design decisions, from a persistent global search to a personalised dashboard, contextual quick actions, and an integrated community hub. Every solution was grounded in employee needs and validated through iterative feedback.
Hero World
The employee's front door to the organisation — a personalised feed surfacing leadership talks, product news, CSR updates, and recognition all in one place, so employees always know what's happening at Hero MotoCorp.
My Desk

A single, customisable productivity hub that brings together integrated tools, team Spaces, to-dos, pending approvals, and a live leave calendar — everything an employee needs in one tab.
Attendance & Leave

A unified view of leave balances, team availability, and approval workflows — no support tickets needed. Managers can toggle between their own records and direct reports for effortless team planning.
Career & Development
One screen for an employee's entire growth journey — training scorecard, competency ratings, learning progress, and Individual Development Plan — making career visibility a daily habit, not just an annual review.
Total Rewards

A transparent breakdown of payslips, deductions, PF statements, and IT declarations — everything that was once scattered across HR portals, now in one clear, accessible screen.
New Joiner's Corner
Everything a new Hero MotoCorp employee needs in one place — from onboarding documents and IT setup to team introductions, buddy connections, and your first 30-day roadmap. No more hunting across departments on day one.
Impact.
The redesigned Hero Intranet gave employees a single, reliable home for everything work-related, from daily tasks and policy lookups to community engagement and peer recognition. What started as a fragmented platform became a trusted digital workplace that employees actually wanted to use.
